Smoothies can be packed with a ton of nutrition in them and are perfect to give your body what it needs when on the go!
After giving a few smoothie recipes a try, I finally found a smoothie that gives me energy and still fills me up when I’m on the go in the morning or after a workout.
‘Boost Your Morning!’ Breakfast Smoothie
I’ve been using an Oster ‘Blend-N-Go’ Blender to make my smoothies so that I can literally do just that… blend and go. I’ve found that just getting a nice (and affordable) smoothie blender is way more convenient and also motivates me to keep making them every morning.
1/2 Cup of Rolled Oats
1 Banana (Freeze enough bananas ahead of time to make it easy for the whole week!)
1 Big Spoonful of Almond Butter (I use Justin’s Maple Almond Butter)
2 Scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
2 Ice Cubes
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (I usually eye-ball it)
The ingredients blend the smoothest when they are added in that order above, or at least putting the almond butter somewhere in the middle so that it doesn’t stick too much!
Remember to wash your blender right away! Otherwise it could be a pain later and take a lot of scrubbing to clean.
